Hebe pinguifolia ‘Pagei’ Description

Hebe pinguifolia ‘Pagei’ is a dwarf evergreen shrub forming a broad, flattened mound of small rounded blue-grey leaves carried on low branching stems. Short spikes of white flowers appear in late spring and early summer, creating a delicate display above the foliage. Plants generally remain around 20 to 30cm high while spreading 60cm or more, making them ideal for rock gardens, gravel planting, raised beds and border fronts. Grow in full sun in moderately fertile soil with excellent drainage. It tolerates wind, coastal exposure and short dry periods once established and is among the hardier hebes for Irish gardens. Avoid heavy waterlogged ground. Little pruning is needed, although occasional overlong shoots can be shortened after flowering.
