Kniphofia ‘Pineapple Popsicle’ Description

Kniphofia ‘Pineapple Popsicle’ is a compact red hot poker with tidy grass-like foliage and numerous flower spikes in fresh cream to pineapple-yellow shades. The flowers are produced repeatedly from summer into autumn and blend easily with both warm and cool border colours. Foliage generally reaches around 45cm high and wide, with flower stems extending to approximately 65cm. Grow in full sun in fertile soil that remains moderately moist during active growth but drains freely. It is hardy and suitable for Irish gardens, although persistent winter wet should be avoided around the crown. Its neat habit makes it particularly useful in patio containers and border fronts. Remove finished spikes to encourage continued flowering and clear old foliage in spring rather than autumn.
