Kniphofia ‘Lemon Popsicle’

Kniphofia ‘Lemon Popsicle’ Description

Kniphofia ‘Lemon Popsicle’ is a compact red hot poker with neat, grass-like foliage and numerous short spikes of clear lemon-yellow tubular flowers. It begins flowering early and can continue producing fresh spikes from summer into autumn, giving a much longer display than many traditional kniphofias. Foliage generally reaches around 45 to 50cm high, with flowers extending to approximately 65cm. Grow in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil with moderate moisture during active growth. It is hardy, but saturated winter ground should be avoided, particularly on heavy Irish soil. Its compact size makes it useful in containers and border fronts. Remove spent spikes to encourage continued flowering and tidy dead foliage in spring.
