Iris germanica ‘Immortality’ Description

Iris germanica ‘Immortality’ is a tall bearded iris producing large, ruffled pure white flowers with pale beards and a noticeable sweet fragrance. The main display appears in late spring to early summer, and this cultivar is known for its ability to rebloom later in the year where growing conditions allow. Repeat flowering is less predictable in Ireland but may occur after a warm summer. Plants generally reach around 75 to 90cm high. Grow in full sun in fertile, well-drained neutral to slightly alkaline soil. Keep the upper surface of each rhizome exposed to sunlight and avoid heavy mulch. Remove old flower stems after blooming and divide congested clumps every few years to maintain vigorous flowering.
