Iberis sempervirens ‘Snow Late’

Pure white flower clusters appear later than many candytufts on Iberis sempervirens ‘Snow Late’, extending the spring display along sunny border edges and rockeries. Its low evergreen habit needs full sun and sharply drained soil, with a light trim after flowering to keep it compact.

Iberis sempervirens ‘Snow Late’ Description

Iberis sempervirens ‘Snow Late’ is a compact evergreen candytuft selected for a relatively late spring flowering period. Dense heads of small white flowers rise above narrow dark green leaves and create a neat, spreading cushion. Plants generally remain around 20 to 30cm high and broaden gradually, making them suitable for rock gardens, gravel planting, raised beds, path edges and containers. Grow in full sun in moderately fertile neutral to alkaline soil with excellent drainage. It tolerates dry conditions once established and performs best where winter moisture cannot collect around the roots. After flowering, trim back the spent shoots lightly to maintain a dense mound and encourage fresh growth. Avoid hard pruning into old bare wood.
