Hydrangea paniculata ‘Confetti’ is a compact deciduous shrub with an upright, well-branched habit and reddish young stems. Graceful conical panicles appear from midsummer, opening creamy white before gradually developing soft to stronger pink tones later in the season. The flowers have a light fragrance and a less densely packed structure than many modern panicle hydrangeas. Mature plants generally reach around 1.2 metres high and wide. Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile soil that remains moist but drains freely. It is fully hardy and suits Irish gardens particularly well.
