Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Teller Snow’ Description

Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Teller Snow’ is a compact to medium-sized deciduous lacecap hydrangea with broad green leaves and flattened flower heads. Large white sterile florets surround a centre of smaller fertile flowers, which may show subtle cream, green, pink or blue tones according to maturity and soil conditions. Plants generally reach around 1 to 1.5 metres high and wide. Grow in partial shade or gentle morning sun in fertile, humus-rich soil that remains consistently moist but drains freely. White outer florets are largely unaffected by soil acidity. It performs well in sheltered Irish gardens and woodland-style borders. Prune lightly in spring, removing dead wood and faded flower heads while preserving healthy older stems that carry the season’s buds.
