Heuchera ‘Marmalade’ Description

Heuchera ‘Marmalade’ is a vigorous foliage perennial producing deeply lobed, ruffled leaves in a changing mixture of amber, caramel, orange, peach and bronze. The undersides often show pinkish or purple tones, adding extra depth as the leaves move in wind. Small cream-coloured flowers rise on slender stems during summer. Mature plants generally reach around 30 to 40cm high in leaf and spread approximately 45cm. Grow in partial shade or gentle sun in fertile, humus-rich soil that remains moist but drains freely. Some morning or evening sun enhances the warm foliage colouring, while intense midday exposure can scorch dry plants. It is hardy in Ireland but dislikes saturated winter ground. Remove tired leaves in spring and keep the crown clear when mulching.
