Heuchera ‘Forever Purple’ Description

Heuchera ‘Forever Purple’ forms a dense mound of deeply coloured purple foliage with glossy surfaces and attractively ruffled edges. The leaves maintain their strong colour for much of the year rather than fading significantly during summer. Fine dark stems carrying small pink to purple flowers rise above the mound in late spring and summer. Plants generally reach around 25 to 35cm high in leaf and spread 40 to 50cm. Grow in partial shade or gentle sun in fertile, humus-rich soil that remains moist but drains freely. It is hardy and performs well in Irish gardens, although persistent waterlogging can cause crown damage. Remove tired leaves in spring and trim spent flower stems at the base. Avoid covering the central crown when mulching.
