Hebe ‘Raspberry Ripple’ Description

Hebe ‘Raspberry Ripple’ forms a compact evergreen shrub with decorative variegated foliage. The small leaves combine green and creamy-white colouring, with new growth and cool-season foliage often developing attractive pink, red or raspberry tints. Short mauve to purple flower spikes appear during summer and attract pollinating insects. Plants generally remain around 50 to 70cm high and wide, forming a neat rounded mound. Grow in full sun or light partial shade in moderately fertile soil with good drainage. The strongest foliage colouring develops in bright conditions, but shelter from severe frost and cold wind helps prevent scorching. It is particularly effective in containers and border fronts. Trim lightly after flowering and avoid cutting deeply into old bare wood.
