Fuchsia ‘Thalia’ Description

Fuchsia ‘Thalia’ is an upright, tender fuchsia with dark stems, bronze-flushed foliage and elegant clusters of long tubular flowers in warm coral-red to orange-red shades. Unlike broad double-flowered cultivars, its narrow blooms create a lighter, more exotic appearance and are produced repeatedly through summer and early autumn. Plants generally reach around 60 to 90cm and work well in patio pots, conservatory displays and sheltered seasonal borders. Grow in partial shade or gentle morning sun in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil or compost. Water and feed regularly during active growth and remove fading flowers or seed pods. It is not reliably hardy outdoors in Ireland and should be overwintered in a cool, bright, frost-free place with reduced watering.
