Erysimum ‘Leya Yellow Glow’ Description

Erysimum ‘Leya Yellow Glow’ is a compact perennial wallflower with narrow evergreen leaves and clusters of fragrant yellow flowers. The blooms may deepen towards golden yellow or warm orange as they mature and are produced from spring into early summer, with further flowers possible later in the season. Growing to around 30 to 60cm, it fits easily into cottage borders, gravel planting and patio containers. Plant in full sun or light shade in moderately fertile, neutral to alkaline soil with good drainage. Once established it tolerates short dry periods but dislikes heavy, waterlogged Irish ground. Deadhead regularly and trim the flowering shoots lightly to keep the plant bushy. Like many perennial wallflowers, it may need replacing after several years.
