Erysimum Erysistible ‘Yellow’ Description

Erysimum Erysistible ‘Yellow’ forms a neat, bushy evergreen perennial with narrow dark green leaves and upright flowering stems. Fragrant warm golden-yellow flowers are produced from approximately March into September, giving it a much longer display than traditional biennial wallflowers. Growing to around 35cm, it is useful near the front of a sunny border, in a gravel garden or as a long-flowering patio plant. Grow in poor to moderately fertile, neutral to alkaline soil with excellent drainage. It performs well in Ireland where protected from persistent winter wet and severe exposure. Deadhead regularly and trim lightly after flowering to prevent the plant becoming leggy. Individual plants may be relatively short-lived, so replacement cuttings can be worthwhile.
