Erigeron karvinskianus ‘Profusion’ Description

Erigeron karvinskianus ‘Profusion’ forms a broad semi-evergreen mat of narrow grey-green leaves and wiry branching stems. Masses of small yellow-centred daisies open white and gradually change through blush pink to pinkish purple, creating several colours across the plant at once. Flowering continues from late spring into autumn in mild conditions. Growing spring into autumn in mild conditions around 15 to 30cm high, it is particularly effective trailing over walls, steps, raised beds and container edges or seeding naturally into paving cracks. Grow in full sun in freely draining soil. It performs well in sheltered Irish gardens but may suffer in severe frost or saturated winter ground. Trim back after flowering if unwanted self-seeding or excessive spread becomes a concern.
