The robust Elaeagnus × submacrophylla, known as Ebbinge’s Silverberry, is a large evergreen shrub with leathery sea-green leaves silvered beneath. In autumn, it produces small, fragrant white flowers followed by orange berries. With RHS Award of Garden Merit, fragrance, and pollinator value, it is excellent for hedging, shelter, or coastal planting in Irish gardens.
