Alpine Wood Fern

The Alpine Wood Fern, Dryopteris wallichiana, is a semi-evergreen fern with erect fronds clothed in dark scales along the stalks. Medium in size and tufted in habit, it combines strong form with fresh green colour. With RHS Award of Garden Merit, it is well suited to shaded Irish borders.
