Dicentra ‘Passion Hearts’ Description

Dicentra ‘Passion Hearts’ is a modern hybrid selected for its exceptionally long flowering season, resilience and greater tolerance of bright conditions. Finely divided blue-green foliage forms a rounded clump, supporting numerous stems of distinctive heart-shaped flowers in rich and soft rose-pink shades. Blooming can continue for more than 150 days from spring into autumn. Mature plants reach approximately 60cm high and wide and suit mixed borders, contemporary planting and substantial containers. Grow in full sun or light shade in fertile, well-drained soil, watering during prolonged dry periods while the plant establishes. Unlike many traditional dicentras, its foliage remains attractive for much of the season. Avoid heavy, waterlogged Irish ground, particularly during winter.
