Dahlia ‘Happy Days Pink’ Description

Dahlia ‘Happy Days Pink’ forms a compact, bushy plant with deeply coloured purple-black foliage and dark stems. Single lilac-pink flowers, lightly flushed with white and centred by golden-yellow stamens, appear continuously from summer until autumn frost. Growing to around 40cm high and wide, it is ideal for patio pots, border edging and smaller sunny planting schemes. The open flower centres provide useful nectar and pollen for insects. Grow in full sun in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil or compost. Water and feed regularly and remove faded flowers to encourage further buds. It is not reliably hardy in Ireland, so lift the tubers or move containers into frost-free winter storage.
