Cornus alba ‘Sibirica’ is grown chiefly for its slender red stems, which intensify to brilliant crimson in winter after the leaves have fallen. Green foliage turns reddish in autumn, while small cream flowers can be followed by blue-white berries. Extremely hardy and around 1.5–2.5m high, it is particularly effective planted in groups for winter colour.
