Silverbush
I hold the RHS | Award of Garden Merit
Convolvulus cneorum, or silverbush, forms a compact evergreen mound of narrow, intensely silver leaves, with white funnel-shaped flowers opening from pink-tinged buds in late spring and summer. Usually around 60cm high, it is particularly effective in sunny gravel planting and containers, where sharp drainage and a sheltered position suit its Mediterranean character.
✅ Silver evergreen foliage gives year-round interest
✅ White summer flowers open from pink-flushed buds
⚠️ Needs full sun, sharp drainage and shelter from severe winter cold
(−10 to −5 °C) Hardy in most of Ireland
