Blue Atlas Cedar 'Glauca'
I hold the RHS | Award of Garden Merit
Cedrus atlantica ‘Glauca’ is a magnificent blue Atlas cedar, developing from a conical young tree into a broad, spreading mature specimen. Silvery-white young needles mature to blue-green, while upright purple-brown cones become a further feature on older trees. Very hardy and tolerant of exposure, it needs full sun, free drainage and a genuinely large planting space.
✅ Superb blue-green evergreen foliage
✅ Upright cones add character to mature specimens
⚠️ Eventually becomes a very large tree over 12m high
(−20 to −15 °C) Very cold-hardy
