Betula pendula subsp. pendula ‘Youngii’ is a classic weeping birch, forming a broad dome of arching branches that can sweep almost to the ground. Green ovate leaves turn yellow in autumn, while the pale bark and cascading framework remain effective through winter. Usually 4–8m high and equally broad, it makes a distinctive specimen where its crown has room to develop naturally.
