Astilbe ‘Deutschland’ is a compact, early-flowering selection with glossy bright green leaves and open, slightly arching plumes of pure white flowers from late spring into early summer. At around 65cm high, it is useful for brightening partially shaded borders without overwhelming neighbouring plants. Give it humus-rich soil that stays evenly moist as temperatures rise.
