Arabis caucasica ‘Aubri’s White’ Description

Arabis caucasica ‘Aubri’s White’ forms a low, spreading mat of evergreen grey-green leaves, topped by masses of small white flowers in spring. Its trailing stems can spill attractively over rocks, retaining walls and the edges of raised beds, while the early blooms provide nectar for visiting insects. Growing to around 15 to 20cm high, it is also suitable for alpine troughs and the front of sunny borders. Plant it in full sun in gritty, well-drained soil and avoid feeding heavily. Persistent winter wet is more damaging than cold, so raised planting is beneficial in areas of Ireland with heavy soil or high rainfall. Shear lightly after flowering to maintain a tidy, compact carpet.
