Alstroemeria ‘Spring Valley’ Description

Alstroemeria ‘Spring Valley’ produces clusters of golden-yellow, funnel-shaped flowers marked with fine speckles and an orange-pink flush on the backs of the petals. The blooms rise above a compact clump of green lance-shaped leaves and continue from early summer into autumn. At approximately 40cm high, it is easy to combine with lower perennials, place near the front of a border or grow in a large container. Choose a warm, sunny or lightly shaded position with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Pull faded flower stems from the base to promote fresh growth. In areas with wet winters, improve drainage and apply a dry protective mulch around the crown once the foliage dies back.
