Actaea matsumurae ‘White Pearl’ is a tall perennial to 1.2m with pale green foliage and slender stems topped with narrow spires of fragrant white flowers in autumn. Recognised with the RHS Award of Garden Merit, it is reliable, generally pest- and disease-free, and adds graceful height and scent to partially shaded Irish borders.
