Acer rubrum ‘October Glory’ is an upright red maple chiefly grown for its exceptional autumn display, when dark green leaves turn brilliant crimson. Crimson flowers also appear on bare branches in spring. It is a handsome specimen for a large garden with moist but well-drained soil, where there is enough room for its broad crown to develop.
