Acer platanoides ‘Crimson King’ is a vigorous Norway maple forming a large deciduous tree 12m or more in height and spread. Its bold, five-lobed leaves remain deep purplish-crimson all summer before glowing orange-red in autumn. Reddish-orange spring flowers appear on bare stems before the foliage emerges. Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit and loved by pollinators, it is a strong feature tree for Irish gardens.
