Acer palmatum ‘Summer Gold’ is a compact, upright tree forming a rounded crown, growing to 2m tall and wide. Its leaves open pink in spring, become lime-green to yellow edged in red during summer, and turn golden yellow with orange and red highlights in autumn. Inconspicuous spring flowers are followed by red fruits above the foliage. Reliable and colourful, it is an excellent feature tree for Irish gardens.
