Acer palmatum ‘Sumi-nagashi’

Japanese Maple 'Sumi-Nagashi'

Low Maintenance Hardiness H6

I hold the RHS | Award of Garden Merit

Acer palmatum ‘Sumi-nagashi’ begins with a vase-shaped outline before broadening into a small tree around 4m tall. Its deeply cut, seven-lobed leaves emerge purple-red, deepen to rich maroon through summer and finish bright red in autumn, giving it a stronger, darker presence than many green-leaved Japanese maples.
