Japanese Maple 'Seiryū'
I hold the RHS | Award of Garden Merit
Acer palmatum ‘Seiryū’ is unusual among dissected Japanese maples because it grows upright rather than forming a weeping mound. Its light green, deeply incised leaves create a fine texture through summer before turning orange, yellow and red in autumn. Reaching around 2.5–4m, it is particularly useful where height is wanted without heavy foliage.
✅ Rare upright habit among dissected maples
✅ Fine light green foliage
✅ Orange, yellow and red autumn colour
(−20 to −15 °C) Very cold-hardy
