Abelia 'Edward Goucher'
Abelia ‘Edward Goucher’ is a compact, semi-evergreen shrub with a bushy habit, flowering freely from June to October on graceful, arching stems. Its glossy green foliage is bronze-tinged when young, setting off the masses of fragrant lilac-pink blooms and their contrasting bronze-tinted calyces. Reaching 1.5–2.5m in both height and spread, it is well-suited to beds, borders, and wall-side plantings in sheltered, sunny Irish gardens. Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit, it is a reliable, low-maintenance choice that brings long-lasting colour, fragrance, and seasonal interest.
