Hydrangea paniculata ‘Bobo’

Hydrangea paniculata ‘Bobo’ Description

Hydrangea paniculata ‘Bobo’ is a dwarf deciduous shrub producing an extraordinary number of dense conical flower panicles on sturdy upright stems. The blooms emerge creamy white in midsummer and gradually acquire blush-pink colouring as the season progresses. Mature plants generally reach around 80cm to 1 metre high and wide, making them particularly useful for smaller gardens, low flowering hedges and large patio pots. Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. It is very hardy and performs reliably in Irish conditions, provided container plants are kept well watered. Flowers develop on new wood, so stems can be shortened in late winter or early spring to maintain the compact shape and encourage strong new flowering shoots.
