Heucherella ‘Art Deco’ Description

Heucherella ‘Art Deco’ is a compact perennial hybrid producing lobed foliage with contrasting central markings that give each leaf a graphic, patterned appearance. Colouring changes with season and light, often combining green, silver, bronze and darker burgundy tones. Fine stems of small pale flowers rise above the foliage during spring and summer. Mature plants generally reach around 20 to 30cm high in leaf and spread 35 to 45cm. Grow in partial shade in fertile, humus-rich soil that remains moist but drains freely. It is fully hardy and particularly suited to woodland borders, shaded containers and path edging. Avoid hot dry positions and persistent winter waterlogging. Remove damaged older leaves in spring and keep mulch away from the central crown.
