Lydian Broom

Genista lydia, or Lydian broom, is a compact dwarf shrub with arching grey-green branches. In early summer, it is smothered with masses of bright yellow pea-like flowers, creating a brilliant golden display. Low and trailing in habit, it is ideal for banks, slopes, or gravel gardens in sunny Irish sites. Drought resistant, easy to maintain, and AGM-holding, it is perfect for low-care colour.
