Euonymus japonicus ‘Himalaya’ Description

Euonymus japonicus ‘Himalaya’, also sold under the cultivar name ‘Lankveld06’, forms a compact upright evergreen shrub with leathery glossy foliage. Its most distinctive feature is the new growth, which emerges almost pure white before gradually developing fresh green colouring and crisp pale margins. The changing foliage creates a particularly bright display during spring and early summer. Use it as a compact specimen, low hedge, border feature or long-term container plant. Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It tolerates coastal air and regular clipping, although strong sun combined with drought may scorch the white young leaves. It is suitable for Irish gardens and should be trimmed lightly durng summer if shaping is required.
