Euonymus fortunei ‘Silver Queen’ Description

Euonymus fortunei ‘Silver Queen’ is a vigorous evergreen shrub with oval dark green leaves broadly edged in creamy white. The pale margins may become flushed pink during cold weather, extending its display through winter. Left unsupported, it forms a broad, spreading shrub suitable for ground cover and informal borders, while stems growing against a wall or fence can become partially self-clinging and reach greater heights. Grow in full sun or partial shade in almost any fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It is exceptionally hardy and reliable in Ireland and tolerates exposure, coastal air and urban pollution. Prune during spring or summer to control its spread and remove any plain green shoots before they overwhelm the variegated growth. The plant is harmful if eaten.
