Late Cotoneaster
I hold the RHS | Award of Garden Merit
Cotoneaster lacteus is a dense evergreen shrub with arching branches and broad leathery dark green leaves, softly white beneath. Large clusters of small white flowers are followed by generous bunches of red berries that can persist into winter. Reaching around 4m, it is particularly useful where a substantial evergreen hedge or wildlife-friendly screen is needed.
