I hold the RHS | Award of Garden Merit
Ceanothus thyrsiflorus var. repens is a low, broad evergreen shrub, usually under 1m high but capable of spreading several metres across. Arching branches are covered in glossy green leaves and masses of light blue flowers in spring. Its naturally spreading habit is particularly useful on banks, at border fronts or spilling over a sunny wall.
