Carex oshimensis ‘Evergold’ forms low evergreen hummocks of narrow arching leaves, each marked by a broad creamy-yellow central stripe against dark green margins. Around 30cm high, it is particularly effective along paths, in rockeries and containers or repeated through mixed shade planting, where the foliage remains useful well beyond its inconspicuous brown flowers.
