Calamagrostis × acutiflora ‘Overdam’ is a compact, variegated feather reed grass forming a narrow clump of green leaves striped with cream to yellow. Airy purplish flower sprays rise above the foliage in summer and fade to pale brown for later interest. Usually under 1m tall, it is particularly useful where the stronger height of ‘Karl Foerster’ would be too much.
