Berberis × lologensis ‘Apricot Queen’
Barberry 'Apricot Queen'
The medium-sized Barberry ‘Apricot Queen’ (Berberis × lologensis) is an evergreen with arching stems and glossy, dark green leaves. In May, it becomes studded with cascades of bright orange flowers carried in hanging panicles. It is valued as a wildlife-friendly, low-maintenance shrub that also holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Many Irish gardeners choose it for its glowing spring colour and suitability for coastal gardens.
