Pheasant's Tail Grass
I hold the RHS | Award of Garden Merit
Anemanthele lessoniana, pheasant’s tail grass, forms a graceful fountain of narrow arching leaves that take on red and orange tones through summer and autumn. Airy sprays of red-brown flowers add movement in late summer without obscuring the foliage. Semi-evergreen and tolerant of sun or partial shade, it is particularly effective edging paths or softening hard landscaping.
