Ajuga reptans ‘Best Buddies Caramel’ Description

Ajuga reptans ‘Best Buddies Caramel’ is a compact ground-cover perennial grown for its warm two-tone foliage. New leaves emerge in shades of caramel and bright green, retaining their colour through summer rather than fading quickly. The plant forms a tight, cushion-like clump around 12 to 15cm high and approximately 40cm wide, with blue flower spikes appearing during spring and early summer. Its controlled habit makes it easier to manage than more vigorous bugles and useful for edging borders, filling small gaps and adding foliage contrast to containers. Grow in partial shade or gentle sun in moist but well-drained soil. Avoid allowing the ground to dry completely, particularly when the plant is establishing or growing in a pot.
