Achillea millefolium ‘Rainbow Ending Blue’ Description

Achillea millefolium ‘Rainbow Ending Blue’ produces broad, flat flower heads whose colour changes noticeably as the blooms mature. The flowers open in shades of pink before fading through muted mauve towards soft blue-grey tones, creating a varied display across each clump. Finely cut aromatic foliage forms a spreading base beneath stems approximately 60 to 70cm tall. It works well in sunny borders, naturalistic planting, gravel gardens and arrangements of fresh or dried flowers. Bees and other pollinators are drawn to the many small florets. Grow in full sun in well-drained soil and avoid heavy, wet ground. Once established it tolerates dry periods well. Cut back faded stems to maintain a neat appearance and encourage further bloom.
