Acer palmatum ‘Firecracker’ (PBR) is a slow-growing, deciduous shrub or small tree, reaching 2.5–4m tall and wide. Its finely cut leaves are purple-red through summer before turning vivid orange and red in autumn. Flowering in April and May, it has a graceful bushy habit that suits borders and containers. Low maintenance and colourful, it is a reliable maple for Irish gardens.
