Azalea ‘Bloomchampion White’ Description

Azalea ‘Bloomchampion White’ forms a bushy evergreen shrub with small dark green leaves and a generous display of clear white flowers in spring. Established plants may repeat flower later in summer or autumn, extending the season of interest beyond that of many traditional azaleas. Its compact growth works well in smaller borders, courtyard gardens and patio containers. Plant in partial shade or gentle sun in humus-rich, acidic soil that remains moist but drains freely. It performs well in Ireland where the roots are kept cool, although cold drying winds and hard afternoon sun should be avoided. Use ericaceous compost for containers and rainwater where tap water is strongly alkaline.
