Hypericum ‘Magical Beauty’ Description

Hypericum ‘Magical Beauty’ is a compact, rounded shrub with dark green oval leaves and a long season of yellow flowers followed by colourful ornamental fruit. Small bright yellow blooms with prominent stamens appear in summer, then develop into berries that begin yellow and flush coral to salmon pink as they mature. Plants generally reach around 80 to 90cm high and wide and may remain semi-evergreen in mild winters. Grow in full sun or partial shade in moderately fertile soil that is moist but well drained. It is hardy and easy to accommodate in Irish borders and large containers. The berries are ornamental and should not be eaten. Lightly prune in spring to remove weak stems and encourage fresh flowering growth.
