Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Musical Soft Pink Salsa’ Description

Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Musical Soft Pink Salsa’ is a compact deciduous hydrangea producing dense rounded flower heads in soft blush to mid-pink shades. The flowers can develop subtle cream, green or deeper rose tones as they mature, extending the decorative period. Plants generally reach around 80cm to 1 metre high and wide, making them suitable for patio pots and smaller sheltered borders. Grow in partial shade or gentle morning sun in fertile, humus-rich soil that remains consistently moist but drains freely. Neutral to alkaline conditions help retain pink colouring, while acidic soil may introduce mauve tones. It performs well in Irish gardens with shelter from late frost. Prune lightly in spring, removing old flowers and dead stems only.
