Striped Bloody Cranesbill
Geranium sanguineum var. striatum, or striped bloody cranesbill, is a low perennial that forms compact mats of green lobed leaves. Its pale lilac-pink flowers with darker veining bloom through summer, softening borders or rockeries. Small and mat-forming, it thrives as ground cover or edging in Irish gardens. Holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit and loved by pollinators, it is both hardy and reliable.
